This blog is built primarily to feed into KEP (Knowledge Equals Power: Completing the Picture), a Community Involvement Project, based at La Sierra University. The project was formed in order to provide a website where the public can find abstracts and links to news stories on major political topics in the Middle East. The news stories come from different countries around the world and display a wide range of political biases. KEP’s aim is to raise awareness about the incomplete picture the U.S. media is presenting about the state of affairs in the world (currently addressing the conflict in the Middle East). Through its website and group presentations, KEP hopes to inspire the community to seek a more complete picture of global issues.

Why I Complete the Picture: I complete the picture because I believe in change. I believe that individual convictions are an important step to changing society for the better. Furthermore, I believe that we are all dependent on each other in order to achieve a solidarity that will allow us to make necessary changes in our world. My wish is that we all realize that each individual does make a difference in our world and that we need each other’s voices in order to reach a mutual understanding and attain common goals. KEP is certainly one step towards the realization of this wish and I am proud to be a founding member.
In this blog…
I will be recording my experiences with KEP, as one of its eight founding members. I will also be adding my own opinions and biases to the issues that KEP addresses, as well as other personal musings. It will include my struggles in understanding my local and global community, my God, and the promotion of human rights worldwide.

hey i just noticed that the last time you posted anything on this blog was back in November! What’s up with that? I just thought that I would give you a hard time. Enjoy being back at school.
